Our Heritage
The story of Rugs by Fatih began in 1972, when my grandfather Abdul Qayum and his brother Mohammad Ayub—both skilled weavers—started their journey in the world of handmade rugs. In 1977, they established their company, Mohammad Ayub Abdul Qayum, pioneering rug exports from India to the U.S. and Europe, particularly New York and Scandinavian countries like Sweden.
The next generation, Mohd Azad and Abdul Malik, upheld their legacy—expanding the business while preserving its values.
In 2001, my father Abdul Quddus joined the business after completing his education. A visionary in his own right, he strengthened our international presence—especially in New York and Sweden—by maintaining an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship. He founded Qayum Rugs in 2009 and later Roza Rugs in 2017, both rooted in artisanal excellence.

In 2025, I founded Rugs by Fatih to carry our family’s legacy into a new era. Our goal is to champion handcrafted excellence, sustainable practices, and artisan empowerment.
